Find out more about the new classroom program, an extension of our successful Progressive Agriculture Safety Day program that reached more than 1.8 million participants since 1995. During this booster session, you will have a chance to hear results from our pilot testers and learn how to provide safety and health education to elementary-age children using hands-on, fun, and safe delivery methods – without students ever having to leave the classroom!

Jodi Richmond

Jodi is a West Virginia University Extension Agent in Princeton, WV.  Her primary focus is increasing the profitability and sustainability of small farming operations by providing educational programing in production, agricultural business management and food safety. In addition to her adult programs, she offers ag literacy, nutrition, and safety programming for youth in schools and through the 4-H program. She has offered Progressive Agriculture Safety Days since 2005 in Mercer and Summers Counties for as many as 800 students per year and feels safety days are some of the most important days of the year in her community. Jodi also serves as member of the Progressive Agriculture Foundation Ad-Hoc Evaluation Committee.

Lindy Berg

Lindy Berg graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Equine Management from University of Minnesota-Crookston and her Master of Education in Extension Education from North Dakota State University. For the past seven years, Lindy has served as the Towner County ANR Extension Educator. Lindy initiated the first NDSU Extension Small Farms Team and co-developed programming for the NDSU Extension Farm and Ranch Safety team, palmer amaranth awareness, and helped start the first annual Women on the Farm Workshop. She has hands on demonstration work in flax and soil health, restoring saline/sodic areas, and is striving to increase educational resources and a new farm safety program for small and beginning farmers.

Colleen Pallas

Colleen Pallas has worked for Nebraska Extension in Polk County as a 4-H Extension Associate with a focus in STEM and Ag Safety in the 4-H Youth Development Program for 29 years. Colleen provides support and positive experiences for 4-H members and volunteers on a local, regional and statewide level.
