Whether you are faced with the challenge of stuffing your bags prior to your Safety Day to locating quality resources for both youth participants and parents, this booster will share how to locate valuable resources. Panelists will share their tips in seeking great resources and help you uncover who to ask.

Jenny Watts

Jenny is the Marketing Manager and Regional Community Health Improvement Leader for Ascension Calumet Hospital in Chilton, Wisconsin. She has been a Progressive Agriculture Safety Day Coordinator for 9 years, hosting a local community event. She resides with her husband, son and pup in the Green Bay area.

Kayla Hinrichs

Kayla Hinrichs is a Food, Nutrition & Health Extension Educator with Nebraska Extension. Her programming covers an eight-county area in Central Nebraska. Kayla has coordinated Progressive Agricultural Safety Days for 20+ years.  Working with a team of three other co-coordinators, Kayla has organized a community Safety Day in Ord Nebraska with approximately 200 youth attending their annual event. Kayla also serves on the Progressive Agriculture Foundation’s Evaluation Ad-Hoc Committee, Program Committee, and contributed to the creation of the program’s Healthy Lifestyles curriculum. Kayla is also set to begin her term on the Progressive Agriculture Foundation Board or Directors.

William Switzer

Bill was born and raised in a small rural community just outside of Hamilton Ontario Canada, Bill Switzer has been an integral leader of Progressive Ag Foundation. Bill’s enjoyment in working with and mentoring youth in the community is very evident through his volunteer work with the Inner-City Outreach Ministries, Provincial Safety Associations, and local Ag Societies. Bill, through Hamilton Wentworth 4-H, joined Progressive Agriculture Safety Day program as a coordinator in 2010, where he has led and executed an extremely interactive and well attended Safety Day in his community every year since. Bill brings a lifetime of Agricultural experience and 37 years of heavy equipment operation. This wealth of knowledge and experience, combined with a passion for safety, has led to a tremendous amount of successful community engagements. Bill’s volunteering commitment, leadership and willingness to give back to the next generation is truly remarkable.
